NEW:  Historical Society to host photo sittings at Octagon House

A special opportunity is being offered this fall by the Watertown Historical Society for individuals and families to have a professional portrait taken with the beautiful interior of the Octagon House Museum as a backdrop.

For a $25 donation to the society, 20-minute photo sittings will be available in the museum’s family parlor with all pictures taken by Juhl Photography of Watertown.  The selection and additional purchase of prints would be coordinated through Juhl Photography for an additional cost.  “The historical society hosted photo sittings in the museum many years ago and it was a very popular event,” said Randy Roeseler, a member of the Watertown Historical Society Board of Directors.  “We invite both individuals and families to take part in this ‘fun-raising’ event, and the photos will make for ideal holiday cards and gifts.”

Sittings may be reserved for Wednesday, Oct. 15, Thursday, Oct. 16 or Friday, Oct. 17 from 5-8 p.m.  Please call the Octagon House Museum to schedule your appointment at 261-2796. Reservation deadline is Monday, Oct. 13.
