05 11       ELECTED CITY ATTORNEY

At an adjourned meeting of the city council held last Friday evening Gus. Buchheit was elected city attorney.  This is a big compliment paid to a young attorney, and his many friends trust that he will conducted the duties of the office successfully.  He says that he will faithfully discharge every duty of the office prescribed by both the charter and city ordinance, will attend every meeting of the council, and look carefully into the city’s interests in every particular.   WG

03 08       COMPILED AND INDEXED WATERTOWN ORDINANCES

City Attorney Buchheit has just completed compiling and indexing the ordinances of this city, and the committee on Judiciary of the council have examined his work and pronounced it most satisfactory. This was a very difficult and laborious piece of work to perform, and Mr. Buchheit certainly deserves credit for the manner in which he has executed it. In last week’s and this week’s issues of The Gazette a large number of the ordinances he has just revised appear. They will all interest our citizens and should be carefully read.   WG
