Nicholas Nimm

1870 - 1961

One of Watertown's old residents, Nicholas Nimm, 912 Vine Street, died at his home June 3, 1961.  He was 90.

Death was due to general infirmities.

Mr. Nimm was born in rural Watertown on Oct. 29, 1870 and had lived in the community his entire life.  He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nimm.

On May 26, 1904, he was married in St. Henry's to Kathryn Schuch. They observed their golden wedding in 1954 and their 57th anniversary on May 26 of 1961.

Mr. Nimm was a member of St. Henry's Church and the Rosary Confraternity. He was a devout man and despite advancing years attended Mass almost daily until he was forced to give up by the sheer force of growing infirmities.

Very Rev. A. J. Herrmann officiated at the funeral and interment was in St. Henry’s Cemetery.
