Edward W. Strache

1880 - 1963

Edward W. Strache, 82, Johnson Creek, died at the Jefferson Hospital Thursday afternoon after a short illness.

 

Born in the town of Ixonia on 8 September 1880, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strache.  He was married in 1905 to Berndena Oestreich.  She survives as do three daughters and three sons,  Mrs. Paul Buske, Johnson Creek, Mrs. Erwin Krueger, Watertown, Mrs. Dale Goodnight, Milwaukee; Wilbert C., Watertown, Omar, Milwaukee, and Edward A. Watertown.  There are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Lillie Jaeger, Oconomowoc, and Mrs. Erna Schwefel, Ixonia.  Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

 

Mrs. Strache was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown.

 

Buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
