The death here yesterday afternoon of Alfred Wollinger, 37, of 213 ˝ West Main Street whose lifeless body was found by his wife, was ruled a deliberate self-act by strangulation.  Police were summoned to the apartment but could do nothing.

 

Mr. Wollinger was a native of Comfrey, Minn., where he was born on Sept. 9, 1924, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wollinger.  He was married here at St. Henry’s Catholic Church to the former Irene Topel on Feb. 22, 1948.

 

Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Kathleen, Mary, Margaret, Patricia and Christine, and two sons, Allen and David.

 

Other survivors are three brothers, Frank of Janesville, and Joseph and Alois of Watertown; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hastrieder, Mrs. Francis Simeth, Janesville, and Mrs. Elsie Schaefer, Watertown.

 

Mr. Wollinger was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

 

Funeral services will be at the Boyle Funeral Home at 2 o’clock on Saturday afternoon, the Very Rev. A. J. Herrmann, V. F., of St. Henry’s Church officiating.  Interment will be in St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

The body will be in state at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today and also the day of the funeral.

 

There will be a rosary vigil tonight at 8 o’clock.
