Jacob Rothschadl, Sr.

1878-1949

 

Tombstone has 1880 as birth

 

Jacob V. Rothschadl, 71, of 1254 South Ninth Street, gateman at the South Third Street crossing of the Milwaukee Road, died March 9, 1949.

 

Mr. Rothschadl had lived in Watertown since 1927 and for 14 years had been employed at the crossing.  He came here from Tyndall, S. D.

 

He was born in Milwaukee, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Rothschadl.

 

Mr. Rothschadl was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church and the Holy Name society.

 

The Rev. A. H. Foltz officiated and interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.
