William Peirick
1927 - 2008
William “Bill” A. Peirick, 81, of Watertown, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Wilk officiating. Family burial will be held at a later time in St. Henry Cemetery.
Visitation is at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Henry Catholic Church.
The Schmutzler Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
Bill was born in Watertown on Jan. 24, 1927, son of William and Mary (Pitterle) Peirick. He married the former Arlene Ambrose on Sept. 14, 1957, at St. Lawrence Church in Jefferson.
Bill served in Korea from 1950 to 1952 and was a 50-year member of American Legion Post No. 189, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3709, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 63. He was also a member of Catholic Knights Branch No. 120.
Bill was employed by Schneider Jewelry until 1985 and then Salick's and Bradow's until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, bus trips and polka music.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene of Watertown; two daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Patchett of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Susan (fiancé Kevin Fuhrman) of Bloomington, Ill.; one granddaughter, Kelly Munguia of Austin, Texas; one brother, Clarence (Gert) Peirick of Watertown; five sisters, Marcella Jentzsch of Brook-field, Ill., Helen Peirick and Agnes (Bill) Schuett, both of Watertown, Mary (Jim) Henry of Brownsburg, Ind., and Joanne (Jerold) Blank of Beaver Dam.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leonard, Edward, Norbert and Raymond Peirick, and a sister, Lillian Peck of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center and AsceraCare Hospice for their compassionate care and concern.

Arlene “Babe” Peirick, 87, of Watertown, died on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Watertown Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Patrick Wendler officiating. Family burial will be held at a later time in St. Henry Cemetery. Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family.
Arlene was born on June 28, 1931, in the town of Aztalan, daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Schimmel) Ambrose. She attended St. Lawrence grade school and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1949. She married William “Bill” Peirick on Sept. 14, 1957, at St. Lawrence Church in Jefferson. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2008.
Arlene worked at the Jefferson County Abstract Office and as a legal secretary in Watertown. Arlene later worked as a library aide at Watertown Senior High School and then at Douglas, Schurz and Lebanon schools from 1974 until her retirement in 1997.
Arlene enjoyed playing bingo, gambling and playing cards. She loved watching TV, especially game shows.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Patchett of Watertown and Susan (Kevin) Fuhrman of Bloomington, Illinois; one granddaughter, Kelly Munguia of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Virginia “Lovey” Burnett of Jefferson; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Heron (Eleanor) Ambrose; a sister, Lorraine “Dolly” (Norbert) Riedl; a brother- in-law, Joe Burnett; and a son-in-law, Wayne Patchett.
