George Egle

1818 - 1902

 

George Egle, 83, died of general debility on April 10, 1902, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carrie Meinhardt, 210 Jones Street.

 

His funeral was held from St. Henry’s and burial was in the parish cemetery.

 

Husband of Nanette.

 

Deceased was born in Wittenberg, Germany, came to Watertown in 1859, and had made the city his home since that time.

 

Deceased was well and most favorable known and was always esteemed as an honorable and useful citizen.

 

SURVIVORS:

 

Two daughters survive him, Mrs. Carrie Meinhardt and Mrs. Anna Roth.

 

PRECEDED IN DEATH:

 

George died less than two weeks after his daughter Mary Louise.
