Elva Sturm

1922 - 2005

 

Elva E. Sturm, 83, of Watertown, died April 28, 2005, at Beverly Terrace in Watertown.

 

Funeral services were held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Barbara Berg of Watertown Moravian Church officiating.  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.

 

She was born April 9, 1922, in Watertown, the daughter of Edward and Elsie (Frey) Kasten. She married Elmer Sturm on February 2, 1957, at Watertown Moravian Church.  Elva was a 1940 graduate of Watertown High School.  She and her husband farmed in the town of Watertown.  She was a life-long member of the Moravian Church in Watertown.

 

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Sturm of Watertown; one sister, Greta (Joe) Schiessl of Dubuque, Iowa; two brothers-in-law, Herb Smith of Fort Atkinson and Lloyd Herold of Watertown; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Vernette Smith and Arlet Herold.
