Clarence Kurtz

1896 - 1979

 

Clarence A. Kurtz, 75, of 213 South First Street, died Sunday morning at his home.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Noffz Funeral Home with Rev. Milton B. Leisman of the Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Kurtz was born in Waterloo May 28, 1898, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kurtz. He was a lifelong resident of the area and on Dec. 10, 1924, married the former Elsie Thrum.

 

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Appenfeldt of Reeseville, Mrs. George Behling of Johnson Creek, five sons, Robert C. of Texas, Donald L., Kenneth and Eugene of Watertown and Harvey of Madison.

 

He is further survived by two brothers, Roy of Portland, Lester of Waterloo, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Draeger of Milwaukee, Mrs. Harold Strassburg of Jefferson, 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
