Hulda Kufahl

1861 - 1925

The funeral of Mrs. Ferdinand W Kufahl, 1202 Louisa St, who died at her home Saturday, was held this afternoon with services at St Mark's Lutheran Church.

 

Mrs. Kufahl before her marriage was Miss Hulda Schumacher, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schumacher of Ixonia and was born 23 July 1861 at Schiefelbein, Germany.  She married Ferdinand Kufahl on 3 December 1880.

 

Surviving are her husband and seven children.  They are Mrs. George Burdick, Mrs. John Nickels, Mrs. Carl Herschi of this city, Fred, Miss Josephine, Ernest and Miss Alma Kufahl at home.  Three brothers, Albert Schumacher of St Ansgar, Iowa, Herman Schumacher of Alexandria, Minnesota, and John Schumacher of Hyrtle, (Error, should be Myrtle) Minnesota, also survive as do eight grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Kufahl's death comes as a sad blow to members of her family and to her friends who looked on upon her as a woman well-liked by all.

 

Buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
