Roger F. Seavert

1934 - 2004

 

Roger F. Seavert, 69, of 607 Union St., Watertown, died on July 2, 2004, at Watertown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness due to cancer.

 

Funeral services were held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Bernard Rott of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Watertown officiating. Burial took place St. Henry’s Cemetery.

 

Roger was born December 12, 1934, in the town of Farmington, Jefferson County, son of Fredrick and Wyanda (Schloesser) Seavert. On November 12, 1955, he married the former Joyce Bohmsack at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Johnson Creek.

 

Roger attended school in Jefferson and had been employed at Borg Textiles in Jefferson for 35 years as a maintenance mechanic. He had also been employed at Welbourne Hall in Watertown as a maintenance man.

 

Roger was the rock of the family. He was a hard worker and enjoyed lawn care and gardening. He loved the outdoors and often helped Jim cut wood and tend to his garden. Roger also enjoyed woodworking and designed numerous items.
