Irene L. Scheiber

 

1923- 2018

 

Irene L. Scheiber, 94, died Easter Sunday evening, April 1, 2018, at Park Terrace on the Marquardt Village campus where she had made her home for nearly two years.

 

Irene Louise Scheiber was born on Sept. 16, 1923, at St. Mary's Hospital in Watertown, the daughter of Joseph A. and Margaret R. (Engelhart) Scheiber.  Irene was a lifelong, devoted member of St. Henry Catholic Church.  She attended Watertown High School, graduating in 1941.  Irene worked for many years at the shoe factory on Hart Street in Watertown, known as the Crosby Square division of the Shoe Corporation of America, and later on the production floor of Johnson Controls' plant in Watertown.

 

Irene will be missed by her sister, Mary (William) Schultz of Watertown; nephew, Thomas (Mary) Schultz of Watertown; four nieces, Sandra Schultz of Watertown, Linda (Brad) Johns of Katy, Texas, Janet (Tom) Wicker of DeKalb, Illinois, Susan (Robert) Johanson of Youngsville, North Carolina; and many other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

A funeral Mass will be held at noon on Saturday at St. Henry Catholic Church with Parochial Vicar Miroslaw Szynal officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Henry Cemetery.  

 

Memorials, if desired, may be given in her memory to St. Henry Catholic Church.
