Franz Scheiber

1829 - 1905

Monday night Franz Scheiber, 214 Cole Street, died at the close of a brief illness, aged 76 years.

Mrs. Scheiber had been ill for some time, and in caring for her, Mr. Scheiber contracted the illness that ended in his death.

Deceased was an old and esteemed resident of the town of Emmet, Dodge county, for many years, and removed to Watertown a few years ago.

Deceased was born in Hungary, July 12, 1829, where he was married, and he and his wife came to America in 1857, and settled on a farm in the town of Emmet.

He had a large acquaintance in this city, and was held in high regard by all who knew him, for he was one of the very best of men, and always strove to do unto others as he would be done by. His death is sincerely mourned.

His wife and four sons survive him, the latter being Joseph and Henry, of Emmet; Frank, of Watertown; and Dr. George Scheiber, of Chicago.

Thursday morning at 9:30 o’clock the funeral of deceased was held from St Henry’s church and his remains were interred in St. Henry’s cemetery.
