Alice W. Scheiber

 

1918 - 2017

 

Alice W. Scheiber, 98, of Watertown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017.

 

She was born Oct. 21, 1918, to John and Agnes (Meitner) Scheiber.  She graduated from Watertown High School.  She was employed as an office assistant for Dr. Miller and J.C. Penney for many years before retirement.  She loved plants, flowers and had a green thumb.  She had a passion for helping others.  She was a lifelong member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown.  She is survived by nephew Wallace Scheiber, niece Marlys Stueber and many other great-nieces and -nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in infancy and brothers Sylvester Scheiber and Oscar Scheiber.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown with Father Patrick Wendler presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Henry’s Catholic School Endowment Fund or a charity of choice.

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sullivan and the staff at Marquardt Health Center for their care of Alice.
