Loretta Rothschadl

1915 - 2006

 

Loretta C. Rothschadl, 91, of Watertown, died on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Marquardt Memorial Manor.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating.

 

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

 

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A scripture service will take place Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

The former Loretta C. Meitner was born on Feb. 15, 1915, in Watertown, daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Brown) Meitner. On Sept. 4, 1937, she married William J. Rothschadl at St. Henry Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1990.

 

Loretta had been a clerk at the former Key Rexall Pharmacy and the former A&P Grocery. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, and its Christian Mothers and Altar Confraternity.

 

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Anne) Rothschadl of South Hadley, Mass.; her five grandchildren, Julie, Lisa and Kurt Schulz, and Laney and Theresa Rothschadl other relatives and friends.

 

She is further preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Schulz; her parents; and a brother, Clarence Meitner.
