Duane Raiche

1941 - 2005

 

HOUSTON, Texas - Duane J. Raiche Jr., 63, of Houston, Texas, passed away March 22, 2005, at the V. A. Hospital in Houston with his loving wife, Pauline, by his side.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

 

Duane was born May 5, 1941, in Sparta, Wis., son of Duane Sr. and Anne (Schimanske) Raiche. He married the former Pauline Fredrick on Feb. 8, 1964. Duane served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1961. He was a paratrooper and also served in Korea during that time. He had been employed with Asplundh Tree Company in Milwaukee, Wis., and later moved with his wife to Texas.

 

Duane was an avid fisherman and hunter.

 

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; his mother, Anne Peirick of Watertown, Wis.; a brother, Paul (Gail) Raiche of Lake Mills, Wis.; three sisters-in-law, Mary Raiche of Janesville, Wis., Pat Horton of Watertown and Pearl of Madison, Wis.; two nephews, Tim (Teresa) Raiche and Mike (Heide) Raiche, both of Janesville; six great-nieces and great-nephews in Janesville; his stepbrothers, David (Bonnie) Peirick of Watertown, Albert (Marilyn) Peirick of Burnett, Wis., Mike (RuthAnn) Peirick of Aship- pun, Wis., and Roy (Kay) Peirick of Watertown; his stepsisters, Ruth (Richard) Walther of Helenville, Wis., Linda (Ed) Schueff of Watertown and Marion (Duane) Kovalaske of Randolph, Wis.; along with several stepgreat- nieces and stepgreat-nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Leonard Peirick; and a brother, Harold.
