Mathias Novotny

1886 - 1962

 

Mathias Novotny, 76, 510 North Eighth Street, a life long resident of Watertown, died September 14, 1962 at St. Mary's Hospital after a lingering illness.

 

He was employed by the Brandt Automatic Cashier Company for years.

 

Mr. Novotny was born February 23, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Novotny.

 

His marriage to Elizabeth Paradiese took place in October, 1913. She died in 1927. On September 8, 1945 he was married to Mrs. Laura Paradiese.

 

He was a member of St. Henry's Church, the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, the Holy Name Society and the Machinist's Union.

 

The funeral was held at St. Henry's Church and the Very Rev. A. J. Herrmann officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
