Joseph E. Moratti
1934-2010
Joseph
E. Moratti, 76, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010,
at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Funeral
services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father
Brian Wilk officiating. Family and
friends may call on Tuesday, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the church. Schmutzler-Vick
Funeral Home and Cremation Service is serving the family.
Joseph
was born on Feb. 18, 1934, in Iron Mountain, Mich., the son of August and Marie
Moratti. Joe
served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956.
On
Oct. 29, 1960, he married the former Marlyn Christiansen
in Scofield. Joe retired from the U.S.
Postal Service, after 32 years of service.
For the last 10 years he worked part time for Bethesda. He was a member of the Last Man Club in
Milwaukee. Joe was an avid gardener and
reader and he enjoyed doing puzzles.
Survivors
include his wife, Marlyn; their sons, Mike Moratti of Waukesha and Jeff Moratti
of Watertown; two grandchildren, Katerina and Kenny; two sisters, Marlene Alessandrini and Rose Marie Lundell
both of Iron Mountain, Mich.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and a brother, August Moratti.
