Mrs. M. Model, 56, Stricken Today

Dies at Home of Daughter; Funeral To Be Wednesday

 

Mrs. Michael Model, 56, of 1300 Mary Street, died this forenoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Nimm, 400 Clyman Street, following a three months illness.

 

She was the former Pauline F. Neumann, a native of Germany and was born April 13, 1893, a daughter of Frank and Bertha Neumann.  At the age of three she came to the United States with her parents and had since resided in Watertown.  She was married Nov. 19, 1912 to Mr. Model in St. Henry’s Catholic Church.

 

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Nimm, and a son, John H. Model, this city.  There are two grandchildren, Pauline Catherine Nimm and Patricia Ann Model.  A daughter and three sisters preceded her in death.

 

Other survivors are four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Martha Coughlin, Mrs. Joseph Engelhardt, this city; Mrs. Carl Nieden. Lodi, Calif.; Mrs. Agnes Brunner, Jefferson, and Bernard Neumann, this city.

 

Mrs. Model was a member of St. Henry’s church, Branch No. 120 Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, the Christian Mothers’ Confraternity, and the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

 

The funeral will take place Wednesday from the Boyle funeral home, with a solemn requiem mass in St. Henry’s Church at 9 a.m.  The Rev. A. H. Foltz will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Henry’s cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the funeral ' home starting Tuesday at 2 p. m. and up to the time of the funeral Wednesday.

 

Members of the Catholic Knights will meet at the funeral home at 8 o’clock Tuesday night for their traditional prayers.
