Michael Kaul

1899 - 1967

Michael (Mike) Kaul, 67, widely know Watertown resident, died of a heart attack in Woodstock, Ill., on July 31, 1967.  His funeral was held at St. Henry's Church. The Rt. Rev Msgr. A. J. Herrmann officiated. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Kaul, whose home was at 223 North Washington Street, was born in Lone Rock, Wis., Dec 18, 1899, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kaul and had lived here since 1921.

He was married at St. Henry's in 1924 to Miss Helen Kreuziger.

He was engaged in farming in this area for some 25 years and later became sales manager for the Pioneer Seed and Corn Co. of Princeton, Ill., until 1964 when he retired from that position. Since then he had worked on a part time basis for the company in alfalfa research; he was in that capacity when he was in Woodstock where he was stricken.

Mr. Kaul was a member of St. Henry's and served on its lay advisory board. He also held memberships on the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin Insurance Society, the Holy Name Society, and Watertown Council No. 1478 Knights of Columbus. He was a devout Catholic, an individual who was highly regarded and was looked up to as a man of character and integrity in all his dealings with others.
