Edward L. Kaul

1927 - 2008

 

Edward L. Kaul, 80, of Watertown, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.

 

Edward was born on May 7, 1927, in Watertown, the son of Michael and Helen (Kreuziger) Kaul. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific from 1945 to 1946. On Nov. 17, 1951, he married the former Donna Kraemer in Watertown.

 

Ed had been employed for 25 years with Provimi Inc. and Strauss Brothers Packing Company.  After retirement he worked part time for Ebert's Greenhouse, the USDA and Strauss Brothers Packing Company.  He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

 

Survivors include his wife, Donna; his children, David (Denise) Kaul and Maureen Raabe, both of Watertown; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Sister Joan Emily Kaul of Beaver Dam; a brother-in-law, Steve Annis; a sister-in-law, Joey Kaul; other relatives and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Catherine Kaul and Bernadette Annis; and a brother, Thomas Kaul.

 

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church with Father Brian Wilk officiating.  Family burial will be in St. Henry Cemetery.

 

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home and Cremation Service and on Monday after 9:30 a.m. at the church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.
