Helen Hoefler

1873-1950

Mrs. Helen Hoefler, 77, widow of Joseph Hoefler, 700 Vine Street, died on May 22, 1950.

She was the former Helen Bliefernicht and was born in Watertown, in the same home where she had resided all of her life. Her parents were Joachim and Regina Bliefernicht. Her marriage took place in St. Henry’s on Sept. 18, 1894. Mr. Hoefler died in 1932.

Mrs. Hoefler was a member of Henry's, the Christian Mothers confraternity, the Rosary Sodality and the Third Order of St. Francis. Her father had been one of the founders of what became the Schempf Bros. Co. department store here.

Mrs. Hoefler had been active in St. Henry's for many years and was a regular and faithful attendant there, down to her last days. She was a woman of firm religious convictions and her community knew her as a good neighbor and friend.

The Rev. A. H. Foltz officiated and interment was in St. Henry's Cemetery.
