Allen A. Hilgendorf

1931-2003

 

 

Allen A. Hilgendorf, 72, of Watertown, died October 30, 2003.

 

Funeral services were at St. Henry’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by American Legion Post #189 was in St. Henry Cemetery.

 

Allen was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Watertown, the son of Richard and Ella (Bogenschneider) Hilgendorf. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. On June 2, 1956, he married the former Loretta Deppe in Waterloo. He worked for the Watertown Water Department for 31 years and he retired in 1994. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and American Legion Post#189.  Link of cemetery veteran listing

 

Allen was a kind and gentle man. He enjoyed walking Main Street, shopping for groceries, doing things for his children, traveling, puttering and fixing stuff.
