Marcella Goetz

1913 - 2004

 

Marcella A. Goetz, 90, of Juneau, died January 4, 2004, at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.

 

A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Henry’s with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating.  Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

The former Marcella Benzing was born March 7, 1913, in Glenwood City, daughter of John and Martha (Martinson) Senzing.  She married Clarence Goetz on April 20, 1940, in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Butler.

 

Marcella attended school at Mother of Good Counsel/Fairview School in Brookfield.  She and her husband farmed in the town of Brookfield from 1955 to 1978, when they moved to the town of Emmet, where they continued farming until retiring to the town of Milford.  During the summer of 2001, Marcella became a resident of Watertown.

 

Marcella was a member of St. Henry’s Church.  She was a former member of the Farm Bureau and a 4-H leader.
