Lorraine B. Dropp

1919 - 2011

 

Lorraine B. Dropp, 92, of Watertown, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown.

 

The former Lorraine B. Toelle was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 15, 1919, daughter of Lawrence and Anna (Obermeyer) Toelle.  On Sept. 2, 1940, she married Richard C. Dropp in Milwaukee.

 

Lorraine was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and had been employed as a bookkeeper/secretary for the superintendent of the Slinger School System.

 

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Johns of Cedarburg, Lorry Peltier of Bradenton, Fla., and Mary (David) Bamke of Hustisford; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Louise Yanni and Mona Horrigan; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; a daughter, Barbara Otto; a son, Richard T. Dropp; a brother, the Rev. William L. Toelle; and a sister, Lavern Kresbach.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. with Father Brian Wilk officiating.

 

Lorraine’s spirit will live on in the many lives she will touch through the donation of her body to the Medical College of Wisconsin.
