Eugene and Marcella Stangler

ABSTRACT:

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Stangler, 307 S. Fourth St., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 24, 1991 with a polka Mass at St. Henry's Church. An open house and dance followed at Turner Hall.

 

Stangler and the former Marcella Berg were married on Thursday, Nov. 27, 1941 at St. Henry's by the late Rev. Dean F.X. Schwinn.

 

Their attendants were Margaret Kreuziger, Gertrude Stangler, Marie Bush and flower girl Rosemary Zastrow. Attendants for the groom were the late Norbert Kreuziger, Joseph Stangler, and Sylvester Berg.

 

They are the parents of 12 children:  Mrs. Roger (Suzanne) Dobke of Kewaskum, Sharon Rothschadl of Madison, Samuel (Marlene) of rural Watertown, Sylvia of West Allis, Stanley (LaVonne) of rural Watertown, Shawn (Kay), Sherwin, Scott (Jean), all of Watertown, Mrs. Mark (Sally) Othmer of Lowell, and Stuart, Sheldon and Sterling, all of Watertown. There are 16 grandchildren.
