“Blessed are you who believed
that what was
spoken to you
by the Lord would be fulfilled.”
Luke 1:45

Dear Moms and Dads,
Since there won’t be a newsletter next week
because of the short, three-day, school week, please know that ALL of us here
wish you the finest of Christmases – full of Christ’s joy and blessings, and
lots of laughter and family fun.
This might be a good time to check
the school website for pictures. Mr.
Riedl reported this week that he added 50 some images recently. You can access those by going to
sainthenryparish.org and then choosing the school homepage. Enjoy.
Recent classroom National Geography Bee
winners are the following youngsters:
for eighth grade, Jessica Mallow and Kristin Miller, alternate Justin
Drebenstedt; seventh grade, Cole Keller
and Sarah Wagner, Caleb Walter alternate; sixth grade, Gabriel Linskens and
Steven Vacek, Holly Krueger, alternate; fifth grade, Emma Cole and Hunter Will,
Karli Kohls, alternate; and fourth grade, Jake Evans and Colin Uecker,
alternate Jordan Hernandez.
Congratulations, students. We
wish you all well during the school assembly on Wednesday, January 6th.
The seventh and eighth graders’ archery
unit began yesterday. It’s so
exciting. They will have another lesson
here on Monday and then be walking to the Market Street indoor facility for
classes during January. We are so
grateful to the members of the Watertown Archery Club who are generously
donating their time to give our students this wonderful opportunity.
As many of you know both Mrs. Anderson
(fourth grade homeroom) and Mrs. Harms (eighth grade homeroom) are both
expecting their babies within a matter of weeks. Prayers please for both moms and babies that
all goes very well. I’m thinking Our
Lady would be especially receptive to prayers on their behalf. Mary has to remember well that experience she
had in a little animal shelter in Bethlehem about two thousand years ago. May she be there for both these lovely
ladies.
Unlike some of the public schools, we DO
have a full day of school on Wednesday.
Do have a safe, healthy, and enjoyable Christmas break with your
children. See you in church!
