“Go your way; your faith has saved you.”
Mark 10:52
Dear Moms and Dads,
School pictures went home with the
youngsters this past Wednesday afternoon.
If your children were absent on picture day in September or if you
aren’t happy with their pictures, PICTURE RETAKE DAY is this coming Wednesday,
October 28th. If you do have pictures
and want retakes, children need to come with the pictures that were sent home
Wednesday. If you were absent, please
stop by the office for an order blank if you can’t find the original one.
You will find a message from the Watertown
Health Department in your packet today.
It basically lets you know that FREE clinics for the H1N1 vaccinations
are going to be offered in school for the children. They are hoping to have one here at St. Henry
in mid-November, specifics to follow.
They will be insisting that children in grades 4K through grade five
have an adult here when the vaccine is given – either a parent or possibly a
stand-in family member. The tentative
plan now is to run the clinic near to the end of the school day and shortly
after. Permission slips, signed by the
parents, will need to be turned in ahead of time by a date to be
announced. In the meantime, please keep
any sick children home. Call your doctor
about possible flu symptoms. Encourage your
children to wash their hands well and frequently with soap and hot water. I’ll share those details about the clinic
date and times and the necessary paperwork as soon as I get them.
Basketball season is getting underway. Please, moms and dads of participants,
download the Athletic Handbook found on the school homepage of our
sainthenryparish.org website and at least skim through the parts pertinent to
you and your athletes. If you are unable
to access that, please let us know and we will get a paper copy to you. It’s important that you let me or an Athletic
Association board member know if you have any concerns about the program. Mr. Bob Breunig is the basketball coordinator
and Mrs. Sherry (Rob) Harms is the president, in case you’re not sure who is on
the board. We want this to be a truly
fun experience for the youngsters.
