Viola Zimmerman

1910 - 2008

 

Viola J. Zimmerman, 97, of Watertown, passed away Wednesday morning, May 28, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Watertown.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Thomas Marr of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Watertown officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.


Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.


The former Viola Julia Kluckaczewski was born on Dec. 25, 1910, in Chicago, Ill., daughter of Victor and Mary (Pereicki) Kluckaczewski. In 1929, she married John A. Zimmerman. He preceded her in death in 1982. Viola had been employed at Glenn Manufacturing. Co. in Watertown and Brandt Automatic Cashier in Watertown for many years. She had also been employed at the Pine Knoll Supper Club in Lake Mills until her retirement.


She is survived by three sons, Robert (Betty) Zimmerman of Watertown, Donald (Jean) Zimmerman of Lake Mills and Richard (Ellie) Zimmerman of Mukwonago; nine grandchildren, Anne (Joseph) Carper, Robert Zimmerman, Joan (Tony) Thompson, Lynn (Steve) Kaminski, Jeff (Becky) Zimmerman, Michelle (Jeff) Gruber, Jennifer (Gerald) Pritzlaff, Nicholle Zimmerman and Jarrett Zimmerman; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Verna Barodte of Michigan, Mary (Ed) Trexler of North Carolina and Isabella Ptaschinski of Beaver Dam; a brother-in-law, Clarence (Marion) Cullen of Beaver Dam; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.


Viola was further preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Jean; three sisters, Lucille, Helen and Phyllis; and two brothers, Edward and Joseph.
