Frank H. Volkmann

1871 - 1957

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Noffz Funeral home for Frank H. Volkmann, Elm Grove, who died on Saturday at the Milwaukee hospital from complications which followed a hip fracture.

 

Mr. Volkmann was a native of Germany and was born Dec. 30, 1871, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Volkmann.  He came to the United States with his parents when a child and spent the rest of his life in Watertown and vicinity.  Until about two years ago he resided on a farm on the River road, route 4, with his daughter Eleanor, who is Mrs. Cay Hedberg.  She now resides at Elm Grove.

 

Besides his daughter he is survived by his son-in-law, Mr. Hedberg, a brother, Paul, of Watertown, and numerous other relatives.  

 

His wife preceded him in death two years ago.  [Volkmann, Maria, b. Apr 26, 1879, d. Jun 10, 1949, Sec 14]

 

Mr. Volkmann was a member of Wesley Methodist church.

 

At the service tomorrow the Rev. J. Ellsworth Kalas will officiate.  Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home this evening to pay their respects and also tomorrow prior to the funeral.
