Carol A. Utech

1950- 2018

 

Carol A. Utech, 67, of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Dycora Transitional Health in Watertown.

 

Carol Alice Utech was born on June 9, 1950, in Watertown, the daughter of Henry and Alice (nee Beisner) Utech.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown.  She had been employed for many years in the Watertown Unified School District as a learning disability aide.  She touched the lives of many students, many of whom she followed and supported into their high school years and beyond.  Carol enjoyed playing softball in her younger years.  She was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, proudly cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks as well as the Watertown Goslings.

 

Carol is survived by cousins, Mary Beisner of Watertown and Jim Beisner of Griffin, Georgia; her beloved dog, Sophie Mildred; and many friends and former students who meant so much to her.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and close friend, Lois Gruel.

 

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, May 19, at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown with the Rev. Jeffrey Meyer of Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown officiating.
