Ruby Thompson

1919 - 2006

 

Ruby L. Thompson, 86, of Glendale, died June 8, 2006, at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Glendale.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. David R. Seager of Loving Shepherd Church in Milwaukee officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery of Watertown.

 

Ruby was born on Sept. 1, 1919, in Waukesha, daughter of George E. and Anna (Volkmann) Hardiman. She married Robert M. Thompson in April of 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown.

 

Ruby had been a Latin teacher and was a guidance counselor, retiring from the Whitefish Bay School system.

 

She was a member of Loving Shepherd Church in Milwaukee and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. She enjoyed golfing and was a past ladies champion at the Watertown Country Club. She also enjoyed traveling and was a former enthusiastic bridge player.

 

Ruby is survived by her husband, Robert M. Thompson of Glendale; a brother-in-law, Frank Semon of Watertown; other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joyce Semon.
