Curtis Lewis Dies at 68

 

Curtis Lewis, 68, married, 1213 River Drive, died this morning at the Watertown Memorial Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

 

He was born on Dec. 15, 1900 in the town of Ixonia, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lewis.  He lived in Watertown for the past 27 years.  Before moving to Watertown he farmed in the Ixonia area.  After moving to Watertown he was employed by the Hein and Werner Company of Waukesha until retiring in 1965.

 

He was a former third ward alderman and a member of the Bethal Methodist Church of Ixonia.

 

Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Reckner, Mrs. Cyril Klecker, and Mrs. Carol Lehman; 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister, Hannah Evans of Ixonia.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schmutzler Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen J. Siferd officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of services on Thursday.
