Lange, Helen Verona

1915 - 2004

 

Helen Verona Lange, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away January 20, 2004.

 

She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Froelich Gruetzmacher. Her husband, Arthur Ludwig Lange, to whom she was married for 53 years, preceded her in death in 1990.

 

She was born in Watertown, WI, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1932.

 

She was a former member of Irvington Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, and First Presbyterian Church in New Castle. She was a homemaker, musician, composer and volunteer for civic, church and philanthropic causes.

 

Daughters Jean E. Cook of Indianapolis and Mary H. Kalin and her husband George Kalin of Hagerstown, MD, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren survive her. A son, Richard R. Lange and all of her four siblings preceded her in death.

 

A memorial service and interment for both Mr. and Mrs. Lange was to be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
