Charles F. Krueger

1864 - 1946

Charles F. Krueger, had been making his home with his son, Benjamin R. Krueger, at 810 North Fourth Street, died in St. Mary's Hospital on Christmas Day, December 25, 1946, his death being due to general infirmities of age. He was 82 years old.

His wife died about ten years ago and since then he had been living with his son and daughter-in-law, the former Ethel Jones.

Mr. Krueger was born in Watertown Sept. 11, 1864, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. Krueger and lived his entire life here. He was married to Miss Helen Ertl on Feb. 16, 1891.

Surviving were three sons, William, Watertown; Walter, Wauwatosa; and Benjamin, Watertown. Another son died in infancy. There were four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William Luther, this city; Miss Amanda Krueger, Jefferson; and one brother, John, this city. Three other sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Krueger was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Plattdeutscher Verein. He was widely known in the city.

The funeral took place from the Schmutzler Funeral Home with services at St. John's Church. The Rev. F. H. Eggers: officiated. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
