Doris M. Kasmiskie

1925- 2018

 

Doris M. Kasmiskie, 93, of Watertown, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, at Marquardt Health Center.  A private, family graveside service will be held on Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown with the Rev. Ray Bezanson officiating.  Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

 

Doris Marie Goetsch was born on Jan. 21, 1925, to Herbert and Frances (nee Janisch) Goetsch in Watertown.  Doris graduated from Watertown High School, and later completed her bachelor of nursing degree in Chicago, Illinois.  She was employed as a nurse in Park Ridge, Illinois.  Doris married Everett Kasmiskie on Oct. 19, 1945, in Watertown.

 

She enjoyed square dancing in her younger years, cooking and attending concerts.  Doris loved to travel, even to Europe.  She had a very strong faith and loved Jesus.

 

Doris is survived by her brother, Keith Goetsch; brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Gordon (Georgia) Kasmiskie; sister-in-law, Irene Kasmiskie; special friends Gayrene and Dick Borowiak; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Everett Kasmiskie on Oct. 14, 2010; her parents, Herbert and Frances Goetsch; son, Thomas Kasmiskie in April 2010; and brother, James Goetsch.
