Florence E. A. Grosenick

1914 - 2006

 

Florence E. A. Grosenick, 91, of Watertown, died on February 11, 2006. Funeral services were held at First Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Stephen Savides officiating.

 

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

The Schmutzler-Vick Funeral Home is serving the family.

 

The former Florence E .A. Sommerfeld was born on May 19, 1914, in Watertown, daughter of Emil and Emma (Leschinger) Sommerfeld.

 

She was a graduate of Watertown Senior High School and had earned many credits at Madison Area Technical College.

 

On Aug. 30, 1947, she married Clarence Grosenick and he preceded her in death.

 

Florence had been employed at Brandt Automatic Cashier, Virchow-Krause and the former Hevi-Duty. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Watertown Senior and Community Center, AARP Chapter No. 2007 and several bridge clubs.

 

Survivors include her children, Catherine (Mark) Krupinski of Rice Lake and Robert (Mary) Grosenick of Eau Claire; her grandchildren, Amy and Karen Krupinski and Tess and Samuel Grosenick; other relatives and friends.

 

She is further preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Frederick Sommerfeld; and two sisters, Margaret Frase and Marion Wiegand.
