Rosa Gobeli

1883 - 1947

 

Mrs. David Gobeli, 63, 1416 Utah Street, died at her home on February 16, 1947, after a lingering illness. She was a native of Switzerland and was born August 16, 1883, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Kiefer. She came to the United States 41 years ago and was married in Canton, Ohio, in 1907 to Mr. Gobeli.

 

They moved to Watertown last Nov. 1 after living for 16 years at the Tilden Cheese Factory on the Juneau Road.

 

Surviving were her husband and one son, Walter Gobeli, Pardeeville. There are five grandchildren.  A sister, Mrs. Fritz Schneeberger, resided in the town of Lebanon.

 

The funeral was held from the Hafermeister Funeral Home.  The Rev. F. W. Knatz of the First Evangelical and Reformed Church officiated and interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
