Edna Gnatzig

1893- 1977

Edna Gnatzig, 83, formerly of 706 South Fifth Street, died Saturday evening at the Marquardt Memorial Manor following a lingering illness.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Pederson Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Splies, chaplain of Marquardt Memorial Manor, officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Miss Gnatzig was born in Sullivan June 2, 1893, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gnatzig.  She did accounting work for several businesses in Watertown and was also a public school teacher for a number of years.  She was a member of the Watertown Moravian Church, Sunday school teacher and a leader in the Young Peoples Society.

 

Surviving are a sister-in-law, Lois Gnatzig of Whitewater, one nephew, Roger Gnatzig of Whitewater, cousins and other relatives and friends.  She was also preceded in death by one brother.
