Clara Gloger

1870 - 1951

 

Mrs. Gustav Gloger, 80 a life long resident of Watertown, died this morning at 8 o’clock at her home, 318 Green Street.  She had been in failing health for many years.

 

Mrs. Gloger, who was the former Clara L. Volckmann, was born May 22, 1870.  Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. William Volckman.  On Oct. 12, 1893 she was married to Mr. Gloger.  He survives.

 

She was a member of Violet temple No. 20, Pythian Sisters.

 

Also surviving is one son, Clarence, this city.  A son, William H. Gloger, died Oct. 2, 1918.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

 

The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Schmutzler Funeral home.  The Rev. Herbert Bauck of the First Congregational church will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home to pay their respects on Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Monday up to the time of the service.
