Amanda Geise is Claimed by Death

Succumbs in Milwaukee Last Evening

Rites Here Wednesday

 

Mrs. Amanda Geise, widow of Louis Geise, former Watertown resident, died Sunday evening in Milwaukee at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Debs, 3046 North 44th street, following a lingering illness.  She had gone to Milwaukee last Sept. 6 to make her home with her daughter after having been ill here. Her home here was in North Second Street.

 

She was the former Amanda Borck and was born in Watertown on Sept. 6, 1861, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Borck, She was married in 1884. 

 

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Debs, Milwaukee; Mrs. Alex Jungmann, this city, and Mrs. Charles Goebel, Milwaukee.  There are four grandchildren, Gordon and Harvey Goebel, and Alice and Florence Jungman. 

 

Mrs. Geise was a member of the Moravian church here.  She was a woman of quiet and simple tastes, who found her chief joy in her home and her family circle.

 

The funeral will be held here Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Nowack funeral home. The Rev. A. E. Schwarze will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
