Merlin Froehlich

1936 - 2013

 

FORT ATKINSON — Merlin Froehlich, 77, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at his home.

 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown, with the Rev. Matthew Smith-Laubenstein of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Johnson Creek officiating.

 

The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is serving the family.

 

Merlin was born in Watertown on April 3, 1936, son of Roy and Emily (Topel) Froehlich.

 

He had been a resident of St. Coletta of Wisconsin in Jefferson for a number of years until he moved to the REM Group Home in Fort Atkinson.

 

Survivors include a sister, Ruby Justman of Johnson Creek; a nephew, Robert (Donna) Hinzmann of Johnson Creek; two nieces, Patricia (Joe) Carran of Waupun and Nancy (Dan) Dousmagen of Eagle River, as well as other relatives and friends.

 

Merlin was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rolland (Pearl) Froehlich.
