Yvonne M. Drost

1940 - 2016

 

Yvonne M. Drost, 76, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison surrounded by her loving family.  She is now with our loving God.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown with the Rev. Ron Kral officiating.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown at a later date.  Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Christ United Methodist Church.

 

Yvonne Mae Becker was born on May 22, 1940, in Watertown, the daughter of George and Stella (Roth) Becker.  She was a 1958 graduate of Watertown High School.  On Jan. 22, 1961, she married Donald Drost at the Watertown Moravian Church.  Vonnie was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Watertown.  She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, reading and watching the Tour de France bike race.  She will be greatly missed.

 

Vonnie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Don of Watertown; three children, Valerie (Mark) Uttech of Watertown, Deanna Drost of Oconomowoc and Heidi (Kendall Matthews) Drost of Scottsdale, Arizona; two grandchildren, Kendell Uttech and Sienna Grace Matthews; a brother, George (Gloria) Becker of South Milwaukee; a sister, Geri Hermann of Jefferson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Vonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
