Frank Deegan

1917 - 2004

 

Frank W. Deegan, 87, of Watertown, died on August 15, 2004, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

 

Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Michael Jensen officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

 

Frank was born June 15, 1917, in Clark County, town of Lynn, son of George and Alvina (Tietz) Deegan.  On Nov. 16, 1939, he married the former Marion Boyer at Methodist Church in Spring Prairie.

 

Frank had farmed for many years in the town of Watertown and had been employed at Fiberesin in Oconomowoc for 29 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He was also a member of AARP 4745.

 

Frank and his wife were members of the Whirl-Away Square Dance Club for 35 years.

 

Survivors included his wife, Marion Deegan of Watertown;, two daughters, Joyce (Louis) Marot of Battle Creek, Mich., and Cindy (Bryan Dorkins) Deegan of Columbia, Mo.; two sons, Laurence Deegan of Aurora, Utah, and Frank Brian (Kim) Deegan of Lakewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren including Francis “Joe" Deegan who was raised by Frank and Marion; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Deegan of Genoa City.

 

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, his parents, eight brothers and three sisters.
