Lorraine Campbell

1920 - 2005

 

Lorraine "Galie" G. Campbell, 84, of Watertown, died February 13, 2005, at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.

 

Funeral services were held at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Lee Meissner of Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown.

 

The former Lorraine Danner was born July 4, 1920, in Golfport, Miss., daughter of John and Phyllis (Kelm) Danner. She married Willard Campbell.

 

Galie had been a member of the Women's Army Corps, serving in France. She had been employed at the former A&P Grocery Store in Watertown for many years.

 

Surviving are a son, Jonathon Scott Campbell of Twin Lakes; a brother, Wayne "Rudy" (RaeAnn) Danner of Watertown; a sister-in-law, Ruth Danner of Charleston, S.C.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; her parents; two brothers, John Danner Jr. and Earl Danner; a sister, Florella Maas; and a sister, Virginia, in infancy.
