George E. Cudnohowski

1927-2012

 

George E. Cudnohowski, age 84, of Watertown, left this world to join his Maker on Saturday, May 19, 2012.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at the Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with the Rev. Raymond Bezanson of the Advent Christian Church in Watertown officiating.  Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown.  Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m., and also on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.  The Hafemeister Funeral Home of Watertown is in charge of arrangements.

 

George Emil Cudnohowski was born on Dec. 24, 1927, in Milwaukee, the son of Emil and Sophie (Kempka) Cudnohowski.  He joined the United States Marine Corp. in 1945 and served until 1951.  George married the former Betty Cain on Oct. 21, 1950, at Christ Baptist Church in Milwaukee.  They raised their family, working on their farm, plus George drove to Janesville to work at General Motors each day.  George loved to be outdoors and enjoyed being busy.  His last 21 years took their toll on his life after suffering a massive stroke.  Our dad was a very loving person with a big heart. God be with you till we meet again.

 

George is survived by his loving wife, Betty, and his children, Rosanna (Glen) Fink, Sandra Smith, Kathleen (Michael) Mallach, Susan Swiedom, Cindy Benno, MaryAnn (Steve) Loritz, Jeffrey Cudnohowski, Lori Sharrow, Jess (fiancé Megan) Cudnohowski and Jennifer Freeburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

George was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters, three grandchildren and a son-in-law.
