Religious Services

Watertown Democrat, 06 01 1865

Today - Thursday June 1st - has been recommended by the President of the United States, to be observed by the people as a day of humiliation and prayer.  In accordance with Text Box:  
Chapter on Watertown’s
Civil War Years
this appointment, Religious services will be held at the Congregational Church at 10 1/2 o'clock A.M., when discourses will be delivered by Rev. C. Boynton and Rev. I. Searles.  In the evening, at 7 1/2 o'clock, there will be a Union meeting at the Methodist Church.

 

At St. Paul's Church, at 10 1/2 A.M., Religious services will be observed, Rev. William Dafter officiating.
